Nothing says Tots 100 like a good cake! Recently I took a journey to Birmingham for the Birmingham Blog Camp with Tots 100 where the plan was to meet up with lots of other cool people and share tips and advice on how to be more awesome. It started with an epic McDonald’s Breakfast wrap and I then met up with Carly from Mummy and the Chunks where we then headed on our journey to find ‘The Studio’ where the camp was being held. The above photo was taken in the photography session held by Tom and Becky Arber. It was so great to see how cheaply you can make some great backdrops, even using old tiles!
Above picture is me and Penny from AreResidence who is just full of awesomeness! At lunchtime Carly and I headed into Birmingham for a quick bit of shopping, oh H&M How I love theee! (Watch out for an outfit post soon) And we then returned to #bcuk to listen to the talk by Oliver Gradwell talk about travel blogging and we then listened to a panel about Bloggers and PRs working together.
Oliver was discussing about sending a pitch to a brand, the things you need to include, the fact that you should really research the brand and make your pitch personal to them and relevant to your blog.
The Panel said some really great tips for bloggers, my favourite being to screenshot things more so you can send them to PR’s which makes life easier for them and you can show you coverage.
It was so lovely to meet everyone there! Thank you to the speakers and to Sally and Lindy for arranging. It’s always nice when events are closer to home. I think a nice day was had by all! And… the lemon cake was aces!
