Starbucks that are situated in Selfridge stores are getting into the Christmas spirit early this year with their new Christmas produce and available Christmas gifts ready to buy, I ventured to the Birmingham Selfridge’s store to see what’s new for 2014, have a nosey at the iconic Starbucks red cup design ’14 and taste the very epic sounding Almond and Honey Hot chocolate.
The arrival of Red Cups is a sure sign for Starbucks customers that the festive season is fast approaching and this year is no different. This year has more of an abstract arty theme. What’s more if you visit one of the stores (Birmingham, and London) and order a drink you will get the very special added extra of gold sprinkles.
Yes! I did say Gold Sprinkles, the Starbucks team have been working really hard to make an edible gold sparkle suitable to be sprinkled as a topping on one of their delicious hot drinks.
Here are 3 of the Festive Drinks:
Starbucks Eggnog Latte
The Eggnog Latte is a Starbucks Red Cup original, welcomed back each year by its fans all over the world. Made by combining Starbucks 100% Fairtrade Espresso Roast with creamy, steamed eggnog and served with a dusting of ground nutmeg, this Red Cup is sure to get you feeling Christmassy.
Starbucks Toffee Nut Latte
The Starbucks Toffee Nut Latte is known for stirring festive feelings. This Red Cup combines the rich, buttery flavour of sweet toffee with Starbucks 100% Fairtrade Espresso Roast and velvety steamed milk. It’s then topped with whipped cream and toffee nut sprinkles to make the perfect festive treat.
Starbucks Gingerbread Latte
This returning Starbucks Red Cup favourite has been described as “Christmas in a cup”. The Gingerbread Latte combines the flavour and aroma of a freshly baked gingerbread biscuit with Starbucks 100% Fairtrade Espresso Roast and velvety steamed milk, finished with whipped cream and ground nutmeg.
And my favourite…
Starbucks Honey and Almond Hot Chocolate
The Starbucks Honey and Almond Hot Chocolate is a brand new addition to this year’s Red Cups. Made by combining Starbucks classic hot chocolate with almond syrup and then topped with chocolate whip, honey and a mocha drizzle, this drink is the perfect treat to enjoy with friends on a chilly winter’s day. This is absolutely delicious, although quite sweet which is perfect for my sweet tooth. It is so scrummy, infact out of all four Christmas drinks this would be the one I would order every time.
Along with the new Hot chocolate there are also many new designs of gifts available, of course, I took a liking to the shiny ones.
Sparkling Gold and Silver
The Sparkling Gold and Silver range is a fashionable take on Christmas gifts at Starbucks. With a metallic finish for an elegant feel, these tumblers and mugs are sophisticated and perfect for a stylish friend.
As I mentioned before there are also lots of new gifts in the Starbucks Christmas range 2014. From cups and mugs to cute little Christmas decorations for your tree. There should be a relevant gift for any coffee (Starbucks) lover. A big thank you to the Birmingham Selfridge Starbucks for inviting me.
Have you tried the new almond and honey hot chocolate yet? If not I seriously recommend it!
