For a long while now I have been working on the decluttering and tidying of my home. I now currently have about 1/4 of what I owned last year and my house is SO much nicer to live in. Now just to keep on top of it.
One of the things I do after every seasonal holiday is to go to the shops and to purchase the amazing bargains for mere pennies that I can use next year and be fully prepared and organised without stress on the run up. I like to keep these all in the outhouse, bungalow, bricked up shed type thing I have, this is usually a mess of boxes and for a while the mess of it all has upset me. That is until I received these shelves from Tufferman.
They came packages in 2 of these small but very heavy boxes. The boxes do have a warning that they are heavy so make sure that you have someone to help you move them, in fact it would be really good if you could have someone help you to put together the shelves. I had my friend Helen (Thanks Helen) who is very organised and so to begin with we put all the same pieces together.
This actually made the building of the shelves much easier. Especially with us both making a H shelf which basically halfed the time it took to make them. The H is made with 3 parts and you then slide the sides into the slots that are provided to enable you to put your shelves how you want them.
It says to use a flathead screwdriver if the pieces that are being slotted become bent slightly. We actually found that a butter knife was much easier and then we perfected that if you just slightly pull and curve them towards the way they need to be that they move enough to be slotted in. It actually amazed me how easy these shelves are to put up, and what a difference it has made to my organisational skills.
Another very anal tip.. because that’s how me and Helen roll. Is the shelves are 88cm long, so try and position the middle slot in your H shelf to be at 44cm if you want them to be in the middle. No one will see, just you will know you have done your bit, if you like that kind of thing. lol!
The wooden shelf itself just slots into the provided lip made by the H shelves. I’m a swine for losing bolts and screws so I love how these use nothing like this and just connect and slot together within itself.
I decided in the end because of the huge plastic boxes I have that I would make a 1×4 shelves a 1×6 shelves, a work bench and 1.3 shelf.
My bungalow has now turned into ‘Headquarters’ it still needs a bit of work but when it is all done I shall share the ways I help myself and what I used.
Want to hear the best bit about these shelves!! They are on offer at £84.99but actually are worth over £200!!! 3 X STORALEX SHELVING BAYS – 1800H X 900W.
*I was sent these shelves for the purpose of this post, all opinions are 100% my own. As are the Alice in wonderland leggings.
